Faith’s
Here to Stay (Part Three)…

the
Lord told me several weeks ago to teach ‘faith’ basics,
we found 91% of the time the word “faith’s” used, it’s to the
Church
we
found out in Week 2, that ‘faith’ is essential in walking with
God
Heb 11:6

[SEPARATE FROM; APART FROM]
faith…
it is
impossible
[UNABLE TO BE
DONE; IT IS NOT POSSIBLE]
to please
[TO BE ACCEPTABLE TO; TO BE AGREEABLE TO]
Him…
so,
it looks like we’re going to have to figure out what faith
IS…
and then how to ‘get it’; ‘use it’; keep it; and ‘grow it’
we’ve
found out that “faith” is when our personal actions
show that we believe the promises of God are true
Well,
Pastor… where do we get ‘faith’ to start with?
Rom 10:17

17 So then
faith comes by hearing…
since
we’ve found out that ‘faith’ is…
when we start ‘acting’ like the Word of God is true
so,
that means ‘faith’ is putting something into action…
and that action is a result of having ‘heard’ something
don’t
know about you… but I didn’t get faith by hearing the news
nor by hearing MTV; nor by hearing the Learning Channel;
etc.
and hearing
by the word of God.
everyone
in this room is here this morning because of ‘hearing’…
and then making a decision of ‘acting’ on what you heard
if you take up golf; decide you like it; and want to get good at
it
you find out pretty quick, the more you play – the better you
get
“faith”
works the same way… if you want to have ‘strong’ faith
you have to ‘hear’ more, and more, and more... of the Word of
God
Well,
Pastor… can’t I just keep believing and get ‘anything’?
Nope,
‘cause faith only works, where the will of God is known…
and it won’t work for things God doesn’t allow.
for
instance, when some folks first heard the ‘Word of Faith’
message
they started ‘claiming’ other folks, wives, homes, jobs, etc.
that’s
not ‘faith’… that’s witchcraft
and it’s also breaking the 10th Commandment given
to Moses
Exod
20:17 (NKJ)
17 "You
SHALL NOT
covet your neighbor's house;
you
SHALL
NOT
covet your neighbor's wife,
nor his
male servant, nor his female servant,
nor
his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything…
that is your
neighbor's."
Christians
waste a lot of irreplaceable time…
praying for things we’ve already been ‘promised’
and asking for things God says we can’t have
‘faith’
won’t allow you to override someone else’s will
if folks want demonic spirits talking to them – you can’t
stop them
technically,
using Jesus’ name – you
CAN
drive demons out
but if that person wants them back, they’ll come… PLUS
Luke
11:24-26 (NKJ)

"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man,
he goes
through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none,
he says, 'I
will return to my house from which I came.'

"And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order.

"Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked
than himself, and they enter and dwell there;
and the last
state of that man is worse than the first."
Well,
Pastor… I’ve never met anyone who did anything like that !
Sure you have… you’ve met me, or Joy, or Pastor Mark, or…
sometimes
we’ve done it in person, sometimes over the phone, etc.
Well,
Pastor Ron… I really find that hard to believe !
Well, don’t get to feeling too bad about that… so did I !
I even found it hard to believe
AFTER
it happened !
but
God said that if I’d lay hands on folks and believe it…
HE
would do it. So…I did… and He did it...
now,
I pretty much go looking
for
‘opportunities’…
Well, Pastor… how in the world do you get faith to do that?
It’s
really pretty simple.
faith
comes by hearing, and hearing
(faith)
by the Word of God
more
faith
comes by more hearing…
and more
hearing
(faith) by the Word of God
lots
of
faith
come by
lots of
hearing…
and
lots of
hearing
(faith) by lots of
the
Word of God
a
great amount of
faith comes by
a great
amount of
hearing
and
a great
amount of
hearing
(faith) by…
a
great amount of
… the Word
of God
John 15:7

and My words

[DO NOT

you,
YOU
will ask what
YOU
desire,
and it
shall be done
FOR
YOU.
NOTICE
– it’s not done
BY
you… it’s done
FOR
you
once
you realize that
YOU
aren’t ‘doing it’… the pressure’s off
you’re
just speaking-out or acting-out your trust…
that He’ll do exactly what He said…
– i.e. faith
